About the Artist

Nick Bamford is originally from Huntington Beach. He spends most of his time working on his art this includes his free time. Which is great because when you love something that is when you spend most of your time doing. He is a graduate student and it is his last semester. He grew up with art and he can credit his career to his high school and what he grew up with.

Formal Analysis

This piece is a very intricate one, it is structurally complex. There are very bright neon lights. There are multiples colors and the strings tie them together. the structure is tall about 7 feet and this is very impressive since the way it was put together.

Content Analysis

I think that this piece is telling a story. It is very complex and different. This is saying how even though this piece is different it is still great it towers  above everyone else and it does this despite the fact that it is unique and unlike anything else. Also by the way it was built it tells a story about how your life isn’t made in one instance but a long plot of completely different stories.

Synthesis / My Experience

I had a great experience with this piece because how it talked to me about being different and that although it is different it is still an incredible piece of art. I can relate because in high school I  felt like I was a really weird person and looking at that made me think about and reflect on my past.
